The Braves made big news on Wednesday by calling up left fielder Ronald Acuna, their No. 1 prospect and the second-best prospect in baseball, according to MLB Pipeline. For those who follow the Reds, it raises the question: When will it be time for infielder Nick Senzel to be called up from Triple-A Louisville?

The Reds get a chance for their first series win of the season when they host the finale vs. the Braves at 12:35 p.m. ET Thursday. It will mark the first time starter Homer Bailey has faced Atlanta since the 2014 season. Bailey, who has a 3.68 ERA despite an 0-4 record, leads the rotation with three quality starts.

Scooter Gennett made a defensive gaffe in the top of the ninth that forced extra innings vs. the Braves on Tuesday. But Gennett made up for it by delivering a two-run homer in the bottom of the 12th for a 9-7 walkoff victory. Against lefty Max Fried, Joey Votto drew a leadoff walk to begin the 12th. That set it up for Gennett, who drove a 1-2 pitch into the right-field seats for his second homer of the night and the game-winner. It was the third multi-homer game of his career.

Reds rookie Tyler Mahle tossed a perfect game in Double-A last season and a no-hitter in Class A two seasons ago. For the first six innings of Cincinnati's 9-7, 12-inning win over the Braves on Tuesday, Mahle flirted with throwing his first no-hitter in the Majors.
