It’s taken a while (since April 19th) since Manny has gone yard but he finally did it in last night’s game against the Tigers reliever Freddy Dolsi. A rude welcome to the Major Leagues for Dolsi…seeing his first pitch sail over the center field wall at Comerica Park.
I have a theory about Manny and his mini-drought. I’ve seen him swing at some pretty bad pitches lately…trying too hard?…maybe. Distracted?…maybe. OR maybe he just wants to do it at home in the friendly confines of Fenway Park where he’ll no doubt recieve a raucous ovation from the crowd…Manny seems to thrive on the attention – Don’t we all?

- Personal Finance Links (Red Sox, iPods, or MLB Umpires) This was a pretty bad week for on several fronts.
