vertical732 asked:

There is a NFL team that no team that has lost to during the regular season has gone on to win the Super Bowl that year.

What team?

Of the final four teams contending for the Super Bowl, what team lost, at home, to them.

10 Pts. to the first correct answer.
The Patriots lost to the Dolphins in a couple of their Super Bowl winning years.

It has to be in the same season as well.
This is not about an undefeated team.

The Dolphins are not the team that is the answer to this question.
As an example, the Dudes were 7 and 9 one year. Of their 7 wins, those 7 teams didn’t win the Super Bowl that year.

It’s been the same every year that there has been a Super Bowl.

There is only one team that can be the right answer.

This is not an easy question.
HUGE hint.

Original AFL team name was the Titans, for only one season.
GAME OVER

Answer # 2 re-read the hints and is correct.

No team that has lost to the Jets in the regular season has gone on to win the Super Bowl.

Yes a qualification was every Super Bowl.

Source was Elias Sports, as told to Joe Beningo on WFAN by an NFL pundit to make Joe feel better after the Jets lost their playoff match-up to the Patriots.

The unbeaten team was the 1972 miami dolphins, and the chicago bears lost at home to them this year in week 9.

The 72 dolphins went undefeated and beat New England twice during that year, scores of 37-21 at N.E and 52-0 in Miami.

i thought it was the Bucs (Tampa Bay Curse) but none of the four lost to them this year…?

    • Colts didn’t lose at home this year. (didn’t play Bucs)
    • Pats lost at home to Broncos, Colts, Jets (didn’t play Bucs)
    • Saints lost at home to Ravens & Panthers (but they are expansion so cannot count) and the Redskins & Bengals (swept the Bucs)
    • Bears lost at home to Dolphins and Packers (beat Bucs in OT)

The JETS??? Holy. Who knew? Well that would spell DOOM for the Pats, and I know my Colts are a-ok with that trend. ;)

The Jets were called the Titans for one season. The Pats lost to them (the Jets ) at home this year.
