asked:

What percentage of Philadelphia Phillies Baseball games played in Philadelphia are rained out in the month of May? I are considering bring a large group of professionals to a game, but some folks are against it since they say there is a high chance it will rain or the game will rain out and it will be very troublesome reschedule.

I have seen the Rain historical data from May in the site below

http://www.weather.gov/climate/index.php?wfo=phi

probability of rain > 0.1 inches in May — about 7/30 == 23 % chance
probability of rain > 0.5 inches in May — about 2.6/30 == 9 % chance

    Over the past six seasons (2003-2008), there has only been one game scheduled in Philadelphia that was post-poned due to weather.

    So, in that time, 80 of 81 games were not rained out in Philadelphia.

    I didn’t check on games that may have had a rain delay.

    I’d say the chances of your game being postponed due to rain would be 2% or less. Chances of getting any rain during the game is probably around 4-5%, but that’s just a guess.
