As a kid…I grew up on oldies music and classic rock….Neil was one of the many greats I listened to. Then in Sept. of ‘96, like a month before my 13th birthday my parents took me to see him live in concert…It was the Tennessee Moon Tour. He was my first concert…Now…12 years later I will be seeing him again…Only this time it’ll be ON THE DAY OF my 25th Birthday! I’m so excited…I got great seats too!

I saw him live at the L.A. Staples Center on Saturday. This was my favorite song. We’re going to have to play it one more time.

great story, and glad you can enjoy this reminder of the night! Geeeee, I wonder if there is any coincidence with the nice name you gave you daughter ?? I have a feeling that she may have a few Sox games in her future!

Fenway Park is the baseball stadium in Boston where the Boston Red Sox play. Red Sox fans are rabid fans, and at every home game, there is a certain point where everyone in the stadium sings along to ‘Sweet Caroline’. So to have ND perform it live here during his current tour was a special moment for many Sox fans.

Thanks to everyone who’s commented! When so many people planned and travelled so far, I feel a bit guilty that this was a last minute offer to me, and I got such an amazing seat. But glad I can share it with you all!

  • 23 beachbumkittykat // Aug 13, 2009 at 2:13 am

Hi diamondfb – Thanks! But sorry, I didn’t get the new songs. I knew my card was close to full and I only had enough memory for one song, so saved it for this (thankfully he played it several times!) After a bit I found the spare one, but didn’t get too much else.
