Fenway originally seated 35,000 fans, making it one of the largest parks when it opened. In the days of less stringent fire laws, fans packed into the park, even standing in the outfield behind ropes. The largest crowd ever at Fenway was over 47,000 for a doubleheader against New York in 1935. Currently the park seats 36,108 for night games and 35,692 for day games.

August 30th, 2009 · 8 Comments

The Undisputed Jerichoholic Y2J™ asked:

Despite that I was rooting for Arizona, I thought it was a great game. The ending of the game was amazing, it just kept going back and forth. All in all though Pittsburgh came on top. So what were your thoughts on This years Super Bowl? Did you like it? What were your Pros And Cons About it? Explain as much as you want.

Star if you like. Thanks!
I Agree With You Willbakerman60, If They Had Reviewed That “Fumble” Then Who Knows What Could Have Happened. I Know It Would Have Been Overturned, And If That Did Happen, Then It Could Have Been Arizona In The Spotlight Right Now.
Eric M, I Couldnt Agree With You More. It Seemed Like Every Minute The Refs Were Calling Penalties On Each Team. Just Let Them Play The Game!

Well the Cards tried their best but Steels beat them. Pretty good game.

One of the best Super Bowls I’ve seen in a while. I also was rooting for Arizona. I thought they had it in the bag when Fitzgerald ran it in with about 2:30 left in the game. But you gotta hand it to Big Ben for putting together that last drive.

Great game! Loved the 98 yd td! And Holmes at the end (almost).

It was a great game except for the very very end. How could they not review that play where Warner “fumbled” it? That’s bullsh*t. I don’t care even it was going to be ruled a fumble. In a game this big with that little time left, you have to review any somewhat controversial play. Other than that, I thought it was played exceptionally by both sides and was fun to watch. It really makes me pissed though when the NFL decides to ignore something as big as that last play just to make sure a team with a bigger fan base wins. F*cking bullsh*t.

Epic game. Amazing end of the game, almost a huge comeback by the Cardinals (Fitzgerald really came alive in the 4th quarter) but I think the Cardinals beat themselves with costly penalties. It was the most exciting Super Bowl I have seen the past 5 years for sure. Holmes for MVP was a very good decision but Fitzgerald was just as good, but of course the Steelers won so the MVP will almost certainly go to the winning player of the winning team. Give the Cardinals credit though, fantastic season and they have a chance at becoming a franchise team the next 10 years. I was surprised by the defense the Cardinals put up in the second half they really stuffed the Steelers until the last drive.

Pros – Awesome game offensively. Two quarterbacks who weren’t rattled, been in the big game before, really put their all on the field today and it was fun to watch. The receivers weren’t some second-rate guys we never heard of, they made plays when they had to, caught the ball at its highest point and made our blood boil (whether for good or bad), and defense – whether it was James Harrison, Darnell Dockett, Lamarr Woodley or Rodgers-Cromartie.. guys came out of NOWHERE to make plays.

Cons – Refs, let ‘em play!

Hell of a lot better than I thought it would be.

To be Honest , I was Y!A the Whole time & only looked up to see the Commercials.
I did watch the last 5 Minutes though.

Don’t know if it was better than Last Year’s 18-1 Pats Ending , but it was one of the Best Finishes in SB History.
