Hmmm…guess you were lucky then…I could never get tickets, even in the 90’s.

Not true at all. I used to go down day of the game and have my pick of tickets from the ticket office.

There was never a time in Boston when you “couldn’t give tickets away” Even if the Sox are in last place in the middle of the season every game at Fenway is sold out, always has been.

Unfortunately, the Yankees do not own the old Yankee Stadium. The city of New York owns it.
I’ve already been inside the new Stadium. It makes every other MLB park look like a sand lot. And even better, the Yankees OWN this one.
So, here’s to building upon traditions with a new field, good for at least a hundred years to come!!

Im a Yankee lifer and it kills me to say this but our owners care about ONE thing and that does not include tradition. if it did, they would not be wrecking a cathedral in the name of corporate luxury. Sorry, we lose this round!

Iread a lot of comments from so-called Red Sox “fans” dissing the hell out of the closing of Yankee Stadium. It was crass, low-class, and makes Boston fans look like retards.
So, right back at ya, bitches. We’ll enjoy the fantastic New Yankee Stadium.
And you can keep on enjoying your Field of BROKEN Dreams.

I think it would be cool one day to go to a Red Sox game, but it would have to be against the Yankees. And I wonder what would happen if I wore a Yankees cap & a **** Ruth replica Yankees jersey to Fenway Park. Or maybe a Yankees cap and a Manny Ramerez Dodgers jersey. Hey the curse of the **** is over! Now begins the era of the Manny Curse.

Great video. I live in Hawaii and probably will never get to see a game at Fenway Park because I hear they have sold out about 450 consecutive games by now (July 2008). So, thanks for posting this video so we can see what it’s like. Go Red Sox!
